I'm a certified personal trainer, nutrition coach, and cannabis educator — and I spent decades fighting my own body before I figured out why none of the usual approaches were working.

For most of my adult life, I was a yo-yo dieter. Gained and lost the same 5 to 20 pounds over and over, in cycles that always started with good intentions and ended with frustration and starting over.
I was doing everything "right." Working out. Eating clean during the day. And still couldn't figure out why I kept falling apart — usually at night, usually around food — and usually feeling like something was wrong with me.
I avoided cannabis for years because I was convinced the munchies would make everything worse. I already felt like I couldn't trust myself around food. Why would I add something that makes food taste better and turns down the resistance?
Then I actually studied it.
I got certified as a cannabis educator and started looking at the science — not the stigma. And what I found changed how I approached everything: my eating, my relationship to hunger, my evening routines, and eventually my body.
Cannabis didn't make me overeat. It made me honest. It lowered my defenses enough that I could finally feel what was actually happening — how hungry I was, how depleted I'd been running, how the restriction I called "discipline" was just setting me up to fall apart later.
Once I understood that, I stopped fighting myself. I started fueling properly. I learned which cannabinoids support appetite regulation versus amplify it. I built the habits that let me eat well, move consistently, sleep through the night, and genuinely feel good in my body — for the first time in decades.
I've kept my clothes the same size for over 10 years. Not because I'm strict. Because I finally understood what was actually going on.
That's what I teach now. I work with women who use cannabis, who are already doing a lot of the right things, and who are frustrated that evenings keep derailing everything. I help them understand the real reason it's happening — and build the habits that make it stop.
